Any Foreign citizen can own a limited liability company in Finland.
However, the Finnish Trade Register requires that the company's Board of Directors includes at least one EU citizen with a Finnish personal identity code. This is also a prerequisite if the company wants to open a bank account in Finland. All other members of the Board of Directors may be a foreign citizen. A foreign citizen can be the only member of the Board if he or she has a residence permit and a work permit in Finland. It is possible to apply for these if there is a limited liability company within which one intends to work in Finland. Establishing a company in Finland takes about a week. Opening a bank account for the company may take another week. Thus, buying a ready-made company is significantly simpler. Unfortunately, Finland is a bit expensive, although otherwise it is a very good country.
